  • The Vine Farmschool is a faith-based homeschool hybrid program that blends traditional academics with hands-on agrarian education. Students participate in both classroom learning and outdoor experiences such as gardening, animal care, and environmental studies.

  • The Vine Farmschool will be located in DeLand, FL at the Glenwood Presbyterian Church. This provides us with indoor classroom space, kitchen access, outdoor grounds, and the ability to build out our farm and garden areas intentionally over time.

  • We serve students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

  • Each day is split between:

    • Outdoor learning (farm work, gardening, science, observation)

    • Indoor academics (math, reading, writing, and structured instruction)

  • Monday–Thursday

    Approximately 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • No — we are a homeschool hybrid program.

    Parents remain the primary educators, and we partner with families to provide structured academic and agrarian learning.

  • Yes. Families must be registered homeschoolers (or using a program like Step Up or PEP).

  • Yes. We are a Christ-centered program and incorporate prayer, Scripture, and biblical values throughout the day.

  • Families may use the Step Up PEP scholarship. We are an EMA direct provider.

  • We will begin building our farm program in phases. While we may not have a full range of animals on day one, students will be actively involved in establishing garden beds, caring for initial animals, and growing the farm over time.

  • Students should be dressed for outdoor activity daily:

    • Closed-toe shoes, boots for farm work will be stored on campus

    • Weather-appropriate clothing

    • Comfortable, modest attire

  • We intentionally keep enrollment small (approximately 20 students) to maintain a close-knit, high-quality learning environment.
